Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and developing individualized treatment plans that meet their specific needs.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as strength training, manual therapy, and mobility exercises, focusing on enhancing patient function.
• Collaborating with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and share updates on progress and challenges.
• Ensuring all patient interactions meet the highest standards of customer service, fostering trust and encouraging open communication.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of treatment sessions, outcomes, and patient responses to therapy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. You will work with a diverse group of individuals, including those recovering from joint replacements, fractures, and sports injuries. Building rapport and trust with your patients will be crucial, as your role significantly impacts their recovery journey and overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; DPT preferred.
• Current, valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
• Proficiency in documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
