Work Environment

This position is based onsite, primarily in a home care setting. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with professionals from various fields, which enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive treatment to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions to determine their functional mobility and overall physical status.
• Develop, implement, and continually adjust individualized treatment plans that address the specific goals and needs of each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities to enhance the effectiveness of treatment sessions.
• Document all treatment activities, patient progress, and any modifications to the care plan in compliance with our electronic health records system, ensuring all paperwork is completed promptly.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on rehabilitation strategies, exercises, and self-management techniques to promote long-term recovery.
• Monitor and analyze patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and patient feedback.
• Participate in interprofessional collaborations, ensuring the best outcomes for clients receiving multiple services, including coordination with physicians and other specialists.
• Promote the clinic's core values, acting as a champion for our mission and assisting in fostering a positive, community-oriented workplace culture.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population ranges from children to older adults, each with diverse orthopedic issues such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility impairments. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play an essential role in improving the functional mobility and quality of life for a wide variety of patients from different backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; advanced degrees such as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) are highly advantageous.
• Maintain current, unrestricted licensure as mandated by the Florida Board of Physical Therapy.
• Exhibit a willingness to provide comprehensive physical therapy services, including both in-person and telehealth evaluation and treatment options when appropriate.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to working with diverse patient populations and the ability to adapt communication styles effectively.
• Show flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment to meet the evolving needs of clients.
• Possess excellent collaboration skills and a dedication to delivering exceptional patient customer service.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a physical therapy setting focusing on orthopedics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate recovery is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems to enhance patient documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits
