Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver strong customer service and communication while assisting residents, guests, and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and assist with checking visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles as directed by site procedures, helping to support orderly operations at the location. Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
