Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Rotating weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
• Monitor and care for patients supported by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) providing surveillance
• Perform and assist with neurological and progressive care procedures including CVA management, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Participate in self-assisted scheduling through Optilink on 6-week scheduling periods
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as required prior to independent practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Neuro PCU experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Experience with CVA patient populations and neurological progressive care settings
