Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to understand their mental health history and current status.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, providing clients with coping strategies and therapeutic tools to address their challenges effectively.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to ensure holistic care and appropriate referrals are made when necessary.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in crisis intervention when needed, demonstrating strong judgment and the ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case discussions to enhance therapeutic outcomes and share insights.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grateful Guidance, you will work with a diverse client population that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges. Your role will involve addressing a wide spectrum of issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, substance use disorders, and more. You will be expected to apply culturally competent approaches to therapy, ensuring that your practice is inclusive and sensitive to clients’ backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience working with mental health clients in a clinical setting.

• Comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy with a focus on cultural responsiveness.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to facilitate client care.

• A strong commitment to maintaining ethical standards, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in conducting substance use assessments and providing integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Previous involvement in outcome measurement initiatives to evaluate therapy effectiveness and improve clinical practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Grateful Guidance Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
