The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed based on patient requirements. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological, emotional, and developmental needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that account for the unique needs of each child and their family, employing evidence-based practices.

• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, family counseling, and crisis intervention when necessary.

• Engage in family therapy sessions to empower caregivers and parents, facilitating their involvement in the treatment process.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other clinicians to coordinate care and share insights about each patient's progress and challenges.

• Deliver immediate support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and appropriate interventions.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment modalities, and available community resources to enhance understanding and reduce stigma.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records following legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, bringing valuable perspectives from your own experiences and current research in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on the mental health of children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood through young adulthood. This includes working closely with patients who are dealing with a variety of mental health conditions, such as anxiety disorders, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral challenges. Building strong, trusting relationships with each patient and their family is essential to fostering effective communication and treatment adherence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, ideally in a pediatric or adolescent mental health setting.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues, along with evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Experience in providing therapeutic services to both individuals and families in a clinical setting.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, empathetic demeanor that appeals to children and their guardians.

• Capability to efficiently utilize electronic health record (EHR) software and other technical tools necessary for documentation and patient management.

• Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with additional experience in child psychiatry, trauma-informed care, or specific therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or play therapy will be highly regarded. Familiarity with community resources and programs available for families within the Stockton, California area is also an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflective of the candidate's experience and qualifications.
