Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy in processing, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a full-cycle AP desk and a knack for prioritizing payments based on vendor terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full cycle AP desk with at least three years of experience.
• Review invoices for appropriate GL coding, proof of product/service delivery, sales tax charges, and credit memos.
• Conduct weekly check runs and prioritize invoice payments based on vendor terms.
• Monitor electronic inbox for incoming invoices and process monthly expense reports.
• Determine GL codes from the Chart of Accounts and reconcile monthly vendor statements.
• Handle high volume invoice processing, managing up to 1500 invoices monthly.
• Utilize PO matching experience to ensure accuracy in payment processes.

Essential Skills

• Three years of experience in accounts payable, including PO matching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, particularly in using pivots and lookups.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics, though others are acceptable.
• Strong skills in vendor relationship management and process improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with 3-way matching and batching.
• Familiarity with AP accrual and checks to vendors.
• Ability to process credit card transactions and data entry.
• Experience with electronic fund transfers (EFT).
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a nice, clean manufacturing company that specializes in commercial doors. The office setting promotes a family-oriented culture, where everyone is a team player, respectful, and approachable. The department consists of 15 people, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. This is a fully onsite position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
