Registered Nurse Neuro Telemetry

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide skilled nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, ensuring high-quality clinical practice within a short-term acute care hospital setting. The nurse will float between units as needed, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain patient safety and comfort. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and adherence to hospital policies and dress codes, with experience in a fast-paced environment and a patient ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities:

• Float between various units as assigned to meet patient care needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status and nursing interventions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and dress code requirements.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while monitoring for changes in condition.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in neuro telemetry or progressive care.
• Clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning.
• Strong interdisciplinary team collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Compliance with hospital dress code for licensed nursing personnel (solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs).

• Experience in neuro telemetry or related specialty areas.
• Previous experience floating between multiple units.
• Additional certifications related to progressive care or telemetry nursing.

• No on-call requirement.
• Must work weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
• Patient care ratio expected is 1 nurse to 4 patients.
• Dress code strictly enforced: licensed staff wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs; print tops not permitted except in designated specialty areas.
• Free parking available in designated employee/visitor lots.

• Shift assignments include weekends with no block schedules required.
• Floating between units as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements.
• 48-hour shifts approved.
