Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their specific needs, creating a comprehensive understanding of their psychological state.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that consider both developmental stages and the familial environment.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a wide spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to foster supportive environments conducive to their child’s mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a unified approach to patient care, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on coordinated feedback.

• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely support and effective resolution of acute situations.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, available treatment options, and local community resources, enhancing their understanding and proactive involvement in care.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for accuracy and efficiency.

• Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance care strategies and share insights with colleagues.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and treatment modalities in child and adolescent psychiatry, integrating new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. Building strong therapeutic relationships with young patients and their families will be essential, as you guide them through challenging situations and help them achieve positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health conditions, evidence-based therapies, and effective treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in both individual and family contexts.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Proficiency in building rapport and trust with young individuals and their families.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have at least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly those with a background in child and adolescent services. Experience in telehealth delivery will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
