This position allows for a flexible work setting, primarily conducted remotely, with occasional meetings held at our outpatient office in Nanuet, New York. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial interviews and ongoing assessments to document client histories and treatment progress effectively.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that align with the individual, couple, or family needs based on thorough evaluations and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to enhance client participation and recovery.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress through scheduled follow-ups and adapt treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs and ensure the efficacy of interventions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive care.

• Manage referrals to external services or specialized care providers as required, ensuring clients have access to necessary resources.

• Engage with family members and caregivers to provide guidance and support in managing mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all case notes and treatment activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various behavioral health challenges. Our clients range from adolescents to adults seeking support for mental health conditions or life transitions. You will be expected to cultivate a therapeutic alliance with clients through authenticity, empathy, and respect for their unique experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• Passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in mental health counseling, specifically in outpatient settings, with a focus on evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Proficiency in electronic health record software, particularly AVATAR or similar systems, to manage client data efficiently.

• Knowledgeable about the impact of addictions and co-occurring disorders, with strategies to address these in treatment.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and other relevant organizations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and education. In addition, hire on will be eligible for a sign-on bonus!
