Work Environment

Your work setting will be onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Trenton, New Jersey. The center is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and resources to support patient recovery. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients to identify their rehabilitation goals and construct personalized treatment plans that reflect their aspirations and medical needs.
• Utilize specialized techniques in manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to address musculoskeletal conditions effectively.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop appropriate interventions.
• Implement and monitor exercise and wellness programs that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team, consulting with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes, documenting progress and modifying care plans as necessary to maximize recovery.
• Provide education on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and home exercise programs to empower patients in their healing process.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to foster a positive attitude toward recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist focusing on orthopedic cases, you will primarily care for a diverse patient population dealing with a variety of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and orthopedic surgeries. Your role will be pivotal in helping these individuals regain their independence and return to their daily activities through targeted interventions and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT).
• Possess an active state license as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in physical therapy, especially in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on the professional license.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a diverse patient demographic, including athletes and older adults.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline patient documentation and data management.
• Knowledge of the latest advancements in physical therapy methodologies and treatment protocols.
