This role is entirely remote, providing mental health services through our secure telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments through virtual consultations to understand clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that include specific intervention strategies and recovery goals tailored for each client.

• Facilitate engaging and effective therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, to foster a constructive therapeutic relationship and improve client outcomes.

• Monitor and document client progress in a continuous manner, utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address complex cases effectively.
\n
• Provide follow-up support for clients recently hospitalized, ensuring a smooth transition back into outpatient care.
\n
• Educate and support clients' families in navigating mental health challenges, promoting an understanding of mental health conditions and recovery processes.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive measures to mitigate them.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
\n
• A proven track record with previous experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with a preference for familiarity with AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A background in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is beneficial.

• Knowledge of best practices set out by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with the pharmacological treatments prescribed by primary care providers and psychiatrists.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 , commensurate with experience, and includes a sign-on bonus.
