Business Development Manager - West Region (USA)

FICOSOTA is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our U.S. Business Development team. The company’s U.S. headquarters is located in Hoboken, New Jersey. This is a fully remote position intended for candidates based in California.

The selected candidate will oversee business development activities across the Western United States, with primary focus on California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, particularly within the Deli category. Established relationships with brokers and retail buyers are required.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving regional business growth, strengthening customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and executing strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and expand existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities
• Develop and execute regional business growth strategies aligned with company objectives
• Build comprehensive knowledge of the company’s product portfolio and effectively communicate product features and benefits
• Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations in both virtual and in-person settings
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and ongoing account management
• Analyze customer needs and develop mutually beneficial business solutions and proposals
• Identify market trends, emerging sales channels, and growth opportunities within the assigned territory
• Generate qualified leads and convert prospective accounts into long-term business partnerships
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and sales agreements in the best interest of the company
• Ensure effective execution of contractual agreements and go-to-market strategies
• Develop and implement regional promotional and business plans within approved budgets
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, shelf positioning, and overall market conditions
• Represent the company professionally while ensuring compliance with all applicable legal and business standards
• The role involves frequent work travel – meetings, trade shows, market visits, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development within a CPG company, preferably in a management-level role
• Experience within the Deli category is strongly preferred
• Existing network of brokers and retail buyers is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
• High level of accountability, professionalism, and business ownership
