Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial mental health evaluations to assess client needs, followed by ongoing individual, couples, or group therapy sessions, adapting treatment approaches based on clinical feedback.

• Develop and implement personalized client-centered treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other trauma-informed practices.

• Regularly collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation per clinic and state regulations, ensuring all records reflect treatment processes and client progress.
\n
• Engage in regular supervision and clinical meetings, contributing to team discussions and utilizing feedback for continuous professional development.
\n
• Uphold ethical guidelines and state licensure requirements, ensuring best practices are consistently followed.
\n
• Support clients from diverse backgrounds by demonstrating sensitivity to cultural, racial, gender, and socioeconomic factors while addressing their individual needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied caseload, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Our clients come from all walks of life, including marginalized communities and those identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. Your ability to offer compassionate care through a culturally competent lens will be essential in fostering therapeutic relationships and improving client outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Current License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of New York is required.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related mental health field is essential.

• Minimum of two years post-licensure clinical experience, preferably within outpatient or private practice settings.
