Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Home Care

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Functional Physical Therapy in Belmont, California. This full-time position will involve working directly with patients in their homes, focusing on orthopedic outpatient therapy. Work Environment

This position is based in a home care setting, allowing for a personalized approach to therapy that can significantly improve patient outcomes. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, focusing on delivering high-quality, one-on-one therapy sessions that promote patient engagement and participation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct multiple one-on-one therapy sessions, typically treating 1-2 patients per hour , while effectively managing time to provide high-quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve movement quality and reduce pain.
• Continuously assess and adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical outcomes, adjusting therapies as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the WebPT system to maintain compliance and facilitate effective communication among team members.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to strategize comprehensive care plans for patients with complex needs, ensuring all aspects of their health are addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, which may include post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and mobility impairments resulting from various musculoskeletal issues. As a therapist, you will need to engage with patients of varying ages, ensuring approaches are tailored to their specific circumstances, goals, and levels of physical capability.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must possess an active California Physical Therapist license or demonstrate eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a patient-centered approach that prioritizes patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, experience in home healthcare settings will be an advantage. Familiarity with electronic documentation systems such as WebPT is also preferred, as it supports the efficiency of care delivery and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
