Position Specific Summary - The CLER Front Desk Assistant will be the first point of contact for visitors and customer service inquiries to the department. They will be expected to manage the living inbox, answer incoming calls, and in-person interactions with students, staff and the GW community. Database management and input into various tech systems. Communicates on a regular basis with CLER staff by completing daily shift reports; participates in staff and individual meetings with CLER Professional Staff. They will also be responsible for managing blue cart and supply rental check in/out.

Standard Position Description - The student will be the first point of contact for visitors and customer service inquiries to the department. Tasks may include: greeting visitors, responding to in person, phone, email inquiries, provide customer service to other students, faculty, and staff; direct inquiries to the appropriate resources as needed; and assist with other office tasks. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.

Required Qualifications - This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications - Excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, computer software proficiency
