Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations for new clients, using structured clinical interviews and standardized assessment tools to document findings from initial consultations through treatment completion.

• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based interventions and strategic goals to measure progress.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on therapeutic techniques that empower clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors effectively.

• Monitor client progress consistently, reassessing treatment plans as necessary and adapting approaches based on changes in client needs or circumstances.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and successful intervention strategies.

• Maintain continuous communication with healthcare professionals involved in your clients' care, particularly during hospital admissions or when adjustments to medication are involved.

• Assist families in understanding and managing mental health challenges, equipping them with resources to support their loved ones effectively.

• Document all client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Centuria, you will work with a diverse client population ranging from adolescents to adults, presenting various mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, and emotional disturbances. Our holistic approach addresses both acute and chronic issues, making it critical to tailor interventions to align with each client's specific challenges and goals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of Georgia as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with a passing score.

• Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of best practices in mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor in clinical settings, with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Experience addressing co-occurring disorders and understanding physical and emotional health conditions related to mental health issues.

• In-depth knowledge of medication effects prescribed by other healthcare providers, contributing to collaborative care.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills that foster meaningful connections with clients.
