Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Front Royal, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments focusing on preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function according to each client's individualized plan of care.
• Lead and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the efficient and appropriate implementation of therapeutic plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, and joint assessments.
• Assess the home environment for rehabilitation purposes and provide actionable recommendations aimed at increasing client independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services on-site as specified by referring physicians, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols.
• Administer therapeutic exercises—both manual and non-manual—motivating clients as they engage in their rehabilitation activities.
• Implement treatments involving modalities such as traction and massage while applying physical agents to enhance recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices, communicating necessary adjustments to the medical team.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in line with organizational standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop comprehensive treatment plans and address ongoing patient needs.
• Provide guidance and education to clients and their families regarding therapeutic interventions, equipment usage, and overall health maintenance.
• Complete other clinical and administrative tasks as necessary, contributing to a holistic approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions, as well as those requiring rehabilitative support to regain independence. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for clients at various stages of their rehabilitation journeys, fostering both physical and emotional healing.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license issued in the state of Virginia or eligibility to obtain one.
• A record free of sanctions or disciplinary actions against your license is essential.
• Proficiency in multiple manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of current physical therapy best practices is crucial.
• Strong skills in electronic medical record management are necessary, preferably with experience using systems like WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation setting.
• Experience in developing tailored exercise programs that yield measurable success for clients.
• Familiarity with telehealth services and techniques to deliver care remotely when required.

Compensation and Benefits
