Hours: Full-Time Project-Based Consulting Engagement

Hourly Pay Rate: $90- $100/hr. on W2

\n

\n

Position Overview

\n

Elevate is seeking an experienced Government Contracting Process Attorney to support a government contracting transformation and readiness initiative. This Attorney will serve as the lead process expert responsible for assessing current-state government contracting operations, identifying compliance and operational gaps, and designing future-state processes, governance frameworks, playbooks, and operating procedures.

The Attorney will work alongside a cross-functional Elevate team and collaborate closely with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, and Business stakeholders. This role requires deep expertise in federal government contracting and the ability to lead process improvement initiatives while translating business requirements into operational and technology solutions.

\n

Key Responsibilities-

\n

\n
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and process assessments across Legal, Procurement, Compliance, Finance, and business teams.
\n
• Analyze and document current-state government contracting workflows, approvals, decision points, and stakeholder responsibilities.
\n
• Identify operational inefficiencies, compliance risks, and process improvement opportunities.
\n
• Design future-state contracting workflows, governance structures, and decision-making frameworks.
\n
• Develop contract repository requirements, metadata standards, reporting structures, and contract classification methodologies.
\n
• Create contract review matrices, escalation paths, and SME engagement frameworks.
\n
• Design flow-down obligation management processes and compliance monitoring mechanisms.
\n
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, governance documentation, and stakeholder procedures.
\n
• Partner with technology teams to define workflow requirements and support potential system enhancements.
\n
• Lead the government contracting readiness workstream with minimal oversight.
\n

Required-

\n

\n
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
\n
• Experience supporting U.S. government contracting matters , including compliance with FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement regulations .
\n
• Strong contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining skills for government contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements.
\n
• Ability to develop and improve contracting processes, SOPs, workflows, and playbooks to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
\n
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with experience advising legal, procurement, and business teams.
