Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques catered to each client's unique situation.

• Obtain continuing education units (CEUs) annually, with costs covered by the organization to support your professional development.

• Collaborate with our Content Manager to develop "Expert Insights" and share your knowledge with the community, if desired.

• Facilitate support groups to enhance communal recovery efforts, fostering a sense of connection among participants.

• Receive direct client referrals, enabling you to build a diverse client base while focusing on your therapeutic approach.

• Engage with our Clinical Operations Teams for support and resources, ensuring you have access to the best tools available for patient care.

• Participate in optional monthly peer groups to foster collaboration, share insights, and enhance your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our counseling services centers around clients seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol. Our approach emphasizes the understanding of various recovery models, including moderation and abstinence, allowing us to meet each client where they are in their journey. Counselors must be skilled in evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care, among others.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC license in the state of Washington.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees and additional certifications are preferred.

• Proficiency in therapeutic practices including, but not limited to, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Community-Based Treatment Models.

• Understanding of the harm-reduction model, including approaches for clients seeking moderation in their drinking habits.

• Strong clinical engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to empathize and connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.

• Knowledge of community recovery support options, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Smart Recovery, to encourage participation in holistic recovery pathways.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates should ideally possess a minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience. Familiarity with advanced therapeutic methodologies and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth within the mental health field are highly valued. Experience leading group therapy sessions or community support initiatives is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
