This position ensures a dynamic and supportive remote work environment. As a counselor, you will engage with clients through video conferencing and phone calls, allowing for flexibility and convenience in scheduling sessions. Although primarily remote, our outpatient office in Norfolk serves as a hub for meetings and collaborative events, ensuring you're connected with your colleagues and integrated into the team. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers who work together to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate clients' mental health concerns, formulating accurate clinical diagnoses.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s unique goals, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to promote healing and growth, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary based on client feedback.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary health team to ensure holistic treatment approaches and continuity of care for your clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health, treatment options, and available community resources, while advocating for their rights and needs.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and training to stay abreast of best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will interact with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will be instrumental in supporting these individuals as they navigate personal challenges and work toward their therapeutic goals, contributing positively to their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A current license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Virginia.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

As a member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
