Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Concierge Postural Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Punta Gorda, Florida. In this full-time role, you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services in an onsite outpatient setting, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and establish individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function in clients with orthopedic issues.
• Administer various physical therapy techniques, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities involving physical agents like heat and cold to maximize recovery.
• Evaluate each client's progress using diagnostic tests and functional assessments, adjusting treatment plans as needed to meet specific goals.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring compliance with care plans and the quality of therapy services delivered.
• Document clinical findings meticulously by creating comprehensive care plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential clinical records.
• Engage in case conferences as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to inform and enhance the overall treatment plans.
• Educate clients and their families about rehabilitation protocols, the importance of adherence to therapy, and the use of assistive devices or home exercises to promote independence.
• Conduct evaluations of home environments and recommend modifications to facilitate safe and effective rehabilitation.
• Ensure timely communication with referring physicians and case managers regarding client progress and any necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in orthopedic physical therapy to provide the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, degenerative conditions, and trauma. Our client base includes a diverse population of adults and seniors, each with unique rehabilitation needs. The therapist's ability to build rapport and trust with clients will be crucial in motivating them through challenging recovery processes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• A valid state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Proficient in the use of physical therapy assessment tools and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient orthopedic clinics or similar rehabilitation environments.
• Familiarity with current evidence-based practices in orthopedic therapy.
• Prior experience in a case management role is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
