Work Environment\n

This position allows for the convenience of remote work, ensuring you can maintain a work-life balance while still providing critical services to clients. Scheduled work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive assessments to develop customized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and approaches tailored specifically to individual patients, considering their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to tackle mental health issues effectively while promoting a path to recovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for every client.

• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, maintaining a calm and therapeutic presence in challenging situations.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and community resources available to support their journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve come from an array of various ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds, with particular focus on ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and newcomers facing the challenges of integration. Your ability to engage with and understand the specific circumstances of these populations will be crucial in delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A solid understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and cultural responsiveness in therapy.

• Previous experience in providing individual and group therapy with a focus on inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills, demonstrating the capacity to maintain composure in urgent situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering rapport with clients across diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

• A commitment to conducting yourself ethically, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a mental health counseling role.

• Familiarity with community resources and referral networks in the Memphis area.

Compensation and Benefits\n
