Our global boutique agency is seeking a creatively driven senior social media manager/strategist to oversee major social campaigns and key client relationships across athletes, brands, tournaments, and sports organizations. This is a high-impact role that bridges senior leadership and hands-on execution, providing strategic direction while managing and mentoring a small social team. The ideal candidate brings strong agency experience, exceptional platform knowledge, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to turn data and audience insights into actionable social strategies. This person will lead strategy, creative development, campaign execution, and performance storytelling while ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time, on brief, and within scope.

Rate: $50/hr. -$55/hr.

Location: Fully remote any time zone

Responsibilities

• Lead social media strategy, creative direction, and campaign execution across key clients, including athletes, brands, tournaments, and organizations.
• Translate client objectives into platform-first content strategies, ideas, calendars, and campaigns.
• Serve as a trusted day-to-day client lead, presenting strategies, creative concepts, performance insights, and recommendations.
• Manage and mentor Social Media Managers, providing direction on priorities, workload, creative development, and client needs.
• Oversee briefs and content production across designers, editors, and creators, ensuring work is on-brand, on-time, and aligned with strategy.
• Partner with producers and leadership to manage timelines, scopes, budgets, capacity, and overall account operations.
• Analyze social performance and translate data into actionable insights, optimization recommendations, and client-facing reports.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, improve processes, and elevate the agency's overall social offering.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of professional social media experience, ideally within an agency, sports, entertainment, or similarly fast-paced creative environment.
• Proven experience leading paid and organic social campaigns from strategy through execution.
• Experience managing both client relationships and internal creative teams.
• Strong understanding of agency operations, including scopes of work, timelines, budgets, utilization, and contract adherence.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, podcasts, and emerging platforms.
• Strong understanding of platform-first content strategy and audience engagement.
• Exceptional writing, briefing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing paid social budgets and interpreting campaign performance data.
• Strong creative judgment and ability to guide designers, editors, and content creators.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative creative environment.
