Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work in a telehealth setting, allowing you to connect with clients in a comfortable and convenient manner. Our team operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. You will embrace innovative telecommunication technologies to conduct sessions that foster meaningful therapist-client interactions. While many elements of your work will be done independently, you will also participate in regular team collaborations through virtual meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that are trauma-informed, effectively evaluating patients' trauma histories to inform treatment plans.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building strategies, and patient-centered goals.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process traumatic experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and enhance their overall emotional well-being.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for all patients.
\n
• Provide urgent crisis intervention and ongoing support for individuals experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their understanding and support.

• Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in professional development opportunities, staying informed regarding the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work at Aurora Mind Health Advocates will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to domestic violence, childhood abuse, and other impactful life events. You will assist these individuals in navigating complex emotions and behaviors stemming from their experiences, supporting them through evidence-based methods as they work towards healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a track record of working effectively with trauma-related disorders.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.

• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills reflecting a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Adeptness in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
\n
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
