Key Responsibilities\n

• Assess clients' needs through thorough evaluations and discussions to formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Conduct individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused approaches.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and security of client information.

• Participate in regular case review meetings and training workshops to remain informed about current best practices and developments in the field of mental health.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring immediate support for clients in distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with underrepresented individuals and families who may face socioeconomic barriers to accessing mental health care. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability in addressing a diverse range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and family dynamics. Your empathetic approach will foster a safe environment for clients to explore their feelings and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or community health setting.

• Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practice.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with a diverse client base.

• Experience and proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software for documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in specific areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse interventions is highly desirable.

• Previous experience in a community health setting or non-profit organization is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
