Position Overview

Premier Workforce is recruiting on behalf of an established Indianapolis-area industrial supplier seeking an experienced Industrial Sales & Business Development Representative .The position will focus on developing new commercial customers for industrial, MRO, electrical, motors, tools, maintenance, and related products.This is a hunter / outside sales position focused on opening new accounts and developing them into repeat customers.

Responsibilities

• Prospect manufacturers, contractors, warehouses, facilities, property groups, hotels, and other commercial customers.
• Develop relationships with purchasing, maintenance, facilities, operations, and ownership.
• Conduct phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person prospecting.
• Visit prospective customers throughout Central Indiana.
• Identify RFQ and purchasing opportunities.
• Follow up on quotes and develop repeat business.
• Work with internal purchasing and customer service teams.
• Build and maintain an active pipeline of local accounts.

Ideal Candidate

Candidates with experience in industrial distribution, MRO, electrical, motors, HVAC, tools, safety, contractor supply, or related B2B sales are preferred.Existing relationships with Central Indiana businesses are a major plus.Relevant backgrounds may include industrial distributors, electrical distributors, motor/power transmission companies, HVAC suppliers, tool/equipment companies, and other B2B distributors.The priority is finding a salesperson who can open doors and generate new accounts , rather than simply manage an existing customer base.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus commission and performance incentives based on new business and account growth.
