Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art outpatient facility in Orlando, Florida, where you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers. Flexible scheduling allows for work-life balance, with shifts typically from Monday to Thursday, 3 pm to 7 pm, and a four-hour shift on Friday. Our facility is designed to support rehabilitation and recovery, equipped with the latest therapies and technology, ensuring we can deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, including screening, testing, and evaluating patients to diagnose injuries, diseases, or disabilities using evidence-based physical therapy procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patient evaluations and established goals, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on proper techniques and exercises to empower them in their healing journey and ensure continuity of care.
• Document each patient's treatment process comprehensively and accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory, facility, and departmental requirements.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to discuss treatment plans, progress, and any adjustments needed to enhance patient care.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality patient care.
• Actively engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops, and participating in peer education initiatives to share knowledge and skills within the team.
• Play an active role in departmental operations, including contributing to quality improvement processes, maintenance of equipment, and participation in utilization reviews.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice caters to a diverse range of patients, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. As a licensed Physical Therapist, you will work with various conditions and injuries, addressing each individual's unique needs with culturally competent care and personalized treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited physical therapy program (Master's or DPT preferred).
• Clinical experience of at least two years in a healthcare setting, demonstrating competence in physical therapy practices.
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations and deliver compassionate care.
• Physical capabilities including lifting, carrying, manual dexterity, and mobility to assist patients during therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience treating a diverse patient demographic and managing a variety of conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior involvement in program development or evidence-based practice initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
