Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite and involves providing care directly in clients' homes throughout the Orlando area. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be charged with:

• Directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring functional abilities in clients.
• Overseeing the implementation of care plans executed by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring that they align with established protocols and meet patient needs.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical functions using specialized diagnostic and functional assessments to tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Assessing clients' home environments to recommend modifications that enhance their independence and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Performing therapeutic interventions such as manual exercises, traction, and massage therapies to facilitate recovery.
• Fitting, evaluating, and recommending adjustments for prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with the client's physician.
• Documenting clinical records that include initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while adhering strictly to OASIS standards.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively review and evaluate clients' overall treatment progress.
• Educating clients and their families on the management and care of therapeutic devices as well as on customer-centered physical therapy practices.
• Maintaining timely submission of orders and clinical documentation, in compliance with company policy.
• Providing ongoing supervision and training for Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance personal growth and skillsets.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating after accidents. You will be providing care to clients of varying age groups, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs while championing their independence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid physical therapist license in good standing within the State of Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving abilities in clinical settings.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a passionate commitment to patient care.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, effectively engaging with team members, patients, and families.
• Robust understanding of applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
