Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans, focusing on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function based on each client's unique capabilities.
• Assist and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering therapy services to ensure high-quality outcomes and adherence to the treatment plan.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing to determine the most effective therapeutic interventions.
• Assess patients' home environments and provide recommendations to enhance their functional independence and safety.
• Administer manual therapeutic techniques, supervise non-manual exercises, and motivate clients in completing their therapy programs.
• Monitor changes in patient conditions, document progress, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members about ongoing therapy needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment adjustments, and strategize on holistic care approaches.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Educate clients and their families on the utilization of physical therapy devices and adherence to their physical therapy program.
• Stay current with developments in physical therapy methodologies and best practices to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic conditions, and postural issues. The physical therapist will be instrumental in guiding clients towards improved mobility, strength, and independence through personalized therapy approaches. The goal is to ensure that each patient feels supported, respected, and empowered as they navigate their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Strong foundational knowledge of physiotherapy practices, including manual therapy techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in EMR software, particularly Web PT, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient therapy setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective exercise and rehabilitation programs.
• A history of maintaining a clean and compliant professional license, free from sanctions.

Compensation and Benefits
