Opportunities are available for experienced paraprofessionals eager to make a positive impact in educational settings near Aurora, CO. As part of a collaborative team supporting students with diverse needs, you’ll play a meaningful role in special education environments. Multiple contract positions are open at both elementary and high school sites, each offering unique experiences and enriching challenges.

To be considered, all applicants must provide two completed professional RefAssured references upon application. Candidates without these references cannot be presented for consideration.

Qualifications & Desired Background

• Minimum of 1 full year working in SPED (Special Education) classrooms is required
• Significant or severe caseload experience is strongly preferred
• Must be adaptable to potential reassignment across different school sites and age groups
• Capable of securing reliable transportation (not public transport or rideshare) for consistent attendance
• Able to comply with mandatory fingerprinting procedures post-offer (any misdemeanor or felony will result in disqualification)
• Comfortable with assisting students with personal care tasks, including toileting and diapering
• Punctuality is essential: report time is 7:40am for elementary or 8:00am for middle/high schools

Key Responsibilities

• Support the instructional and behavioral needs of students in special education settings
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance, both academically and with activities of daily living
• Remain flexible to assignments across various campus locations and student age groups as determined by school staffing needs
