Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic educational setting where your expertise in speech-language pathology can make a profound difference for high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract opportunity offers onsite work in a specialized, supportive environment that values personalized approaches to help students build essential skills for lifelong independence. You'll work a consistent 32.5 hours per week, primarily supervising an SLPA and engaging directly with students in a high school age group.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with ASHA CCC or eligible for CFY
- Active SLP license in Massachusetts
- Experience with pediatric or adolescent populations, particularly in special education
- Strong background in school-based or healthcare SLP settings
- Demonstrated understanding of ASD and related learning differences
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams and supervisors
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ unique needs
- Conduct assessments and track progress toward communication and functional goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Provide direct support and intervention to students in a high school setting tailored for special populations
