Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Experience a rewarding contract opportunity serving high school students in a specialized educational program designed for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other unique needs. This role focuses on providing speech-language services in a supportive, non-traditional environment designed to foster independence and skill-building. Supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to personalized education.
This assignment is based at a specialized high school program in Ludlow, with the academic year running from late August 2026 to late June 2027 (exact dates to be confirmed). The weekly schedule totals 32.5 hours, offering a balanced workweek while supporting meaningful student outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active state licensure required for school-based speech-language pathologists
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Demonstrated expertise working with AAC devices
- Prior experience in school settings, with high school students or specialized populations preferred
- Ability to supervise and mentor an SLPA
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to high school students in a program tailored for ASD and diverse learning needs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Supervise and support an SLPA in delivering services
- Collaborate closely with special educators, parents/caregivers, and related service professionals
- Maintain clear documentation in accordance with state and program guidelines
