WATER AND SEWAGE PLANT SUPERVISOR (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Job Summary Water & Sewage Plant Supervisor (Correctional Facility) – California Men's Colony, San Luis Obispo County. Permanent full‑time position, 0700‑1500 shift. Salary range: $6,696.00 – $8,477.00 per month. Minimum qualifications: Grade 3 Waste Water Treatment license. Multiple positions available. Responsibilities Operate and maintain water treatment and/or sewage treatment plant equipment. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of facility treatment equipment. Instruct, lead, and supervise incarcerated personnel in plant operations. Ensure safety of persons and property, enforcing plant policies and procedures. Participate in physical and pulmonary examinations for respirator program. Complete confined‑space training/entry and obtain certification for Backflow Prevention Program. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Current Grade III Waste Water Treatment license. Experience in operating and supervising a water/sewage treatment plant. Ability to work in a correctional environment, maintaining safety and order. Physical and mental ability to meet job’s demands. Special Requirements Under general direction of the Chief Engineer, must maintain safety protocols and supervise incarcerated persons.
