This position will be entirely remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while being part of a supportive and mission-driven organization. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including the Clinical Director and Executive Director, who emphasize the importance of a therapeutic and constructive environment for our residents. We ensure that our team members have access to the training and tools necessary to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW, you will play a key role in assessing and addressing the unique needs of each client. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ counseling needs, identifying appropriate intervention strategies.
\n
• Utilizing DSM criteria to diagnose substance use disorders and determining the required level of care according to ASAM standards.
\n
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on substance abuse rehabilitation.
\n
• Developing discharge plans and aftercare strategies to facilitate clients’ transitions to lower levels of care.
\n
• Maintaining comprehensive clinical records that document all counseling sessions, education services, assessments, and follow-ups.
\n
• Managing a caseload effectively, including case management duties and utilization reviews.
\n
• Coordinating support services for individuals and families while tracking their engagement in care.
\n
• Liaising with external referral sources, including legal, educational, and employment institutions as necessary.
\n
• Facilitating crisis interventions and utilizing a team-based approach to address acute client issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You will provide essential support that fosters hope and builds resilience among clients as they navigate their recovery journeys. Through your expertise, you will help clients develop coping strategies, enhance life skills, and engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Florida.
\n
• Proven experience in addiction counseling or a related mental health setting.
\n
• Strong understanding of clinical best practices, including crisis management and the dynamics of co-occurring disorders.

• Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While the above qualifications are essential, candidates with the following will be preferred:

• Hands-on experience using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria in clinical practice.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
\n
• Experience in a detox or rehabilitation center setting.
\n
• Additional certifications in addiction treatment methodologies and therapeutic therapies.
