Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies. Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports on a regular basis. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems to record and analyze financial data efficiently. Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Handle confidential information with integrity while managing payroll processing through systems like ADP or UltiPro. Support internal controls and compliance measures related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and governmental accounting standards. Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost analysis to aid strategic decision-making. Perform data entry with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Knowledge of GAAP standards as well as governmental accounting practices is highly desirable. Experience working with financial systems like Workday, Paychex, Kronos, ADP, UltiPro or equivalent is preferred. Strong technical accounting skills including journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger management. Excellent numeracy skills combined with math proficiency for accurate account analysis and credit assessments. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Demonstrated ability to perform Excel data analysis using spreadsheets for reporting and financial review purposes. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment.
