In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in providing high-quality mental health care to clients seeking support in their therapeutic journey. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting detailed mental health evaluations, crafting personalized treatment plans, and leading individual as well as group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing the clients' emotional and psychological well-being.

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in managing your work-life balance while providing essential mental health services. Our clinic utilizes advanced electronic health record systems like AVATAR, ensuring that all counselors can efficiently manage client records and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive case histories and document client progress from initial consultation to completion of therapy.
\n
• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through structured assessments and interviews.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each plan aligns with the client's needs and goals.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that resonate with clients and promote healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the client.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, consulting with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to optimize client care.
\n
• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients transitioning to or from hospital care, ensuring a continuity of care.
\n
• Address and mitigate behaviors that could hinder clients’ recovery process.
\n
• Offer support to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to navigate mental health challenges alongside their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working with a diverse client base, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your holistic approach will help clients navigate their mental health journeys, fostering resilience and positive change in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong understanding of therapeutic practices.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient documentation and communication.
\n
• Knowledge of the impact of physical and emotional health conditions, along with an understanding of various addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to connect with clients effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals with substance abuse issues, will be considered an asset.

• A background in crisis intervention and the ability to manage acute mental health situations.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
