BioMechanics Orthopedic Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our outpatient practice located in Alexandria, Virginia. Work Environment

The position is fully onsite at our outpatient office in Alexandria, offering a collaborative environment with a close-knit team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Competently assess patients' needs and create individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for focused and personalized care during each session.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment interventions to optimize patients' motion, mobility, and overall well-being.
• Implement effective fitness and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Minimize dependence on medications by exploring alternative, non-surgical treatment options and educating patients on lifestyle changes.
• Utilize various treatment techniques, including but not limited to manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise prescription.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to share insights and ensure comprehensive care continuity.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, adjust care plans accordingly, and maintain open channels of communication with patients about their treatment journey.
• Thoroughly document patient care services and outcomes to ensure robust care quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Inspire and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation process, promoting self-efficacy and motivation.
• Help patients adopt healthier lifestyles by fostering improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient demographic consists of individuals with private medical insurance, many of whom are recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries. We are committed to offering cost-effective and evidence-supported treatments that empower our clients to regain their mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is required.
• A clean licensure record with no disciplinary actions is essential.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy and exercise prescription is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, especially WebPT, is necessary for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable and will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
• Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing effective rehabilitation and exercise programs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
