Learning and Development Lead [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Learning and Development Lead based in the United States.

This is a remote, pro-bono leadership opportunity for a learning and development professional who is passionate about building engaging training experiences that empower volunteers to make a meaningful social impact. In this role, you will design, implement, and continuously improve learning programs that strengthen organizational effectiveness and volunteer engagement. Working closely with Human Capital and cross-functional leaders, you will identify training needs, develop scalable learning resources, and establish effective onboarding and development initiatives. Your work will directly support a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on creating lasting educational opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building learning frameworks, driving continuous improvement, and enabling teams to succeed through knowledge sharing.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain training materials, guides, and learning resources for volunteers across multiple organizational functions.
• Assess organizational learning needs and recommend training initiatives that improve volunteer performance and operational effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver onboarding programs to ensure new volunteers successfully integrate into the organization.
• Partner with Human Capital and operational leaders to create role-specific learning solutions and support evolving training needs.
• Implement evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness, analyze outcomes, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage learning and development projects from planning through implementation while ensuring quality and consistency.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning by identifying opportunities to enhance knowledge sharing and volunteer development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering virtual training programs and learning initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage learning projects from needs assessment through implementation and evaluation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Creative, resourceful, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Reliable, accountable, and committed to delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.
