Assistant Coach, Wrestling

Brown University Athletics and Recreation seeks an Assistant Coach for the Wrestling program in Providence, Rhode Island. Job Description Assists the Head Coach in the organization, development, and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division I wrestling program. Responsible for scouting, recruiting, coaching, practice and dual‑meet scheduling, fundraising, clinics, and community outreach. Administers the wrestling program budget. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree. Two to four years of coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level. Some collegiate coaching and recruiting experience preferred. Competitive collegiate wrestling experience preferred. Job Competencies Ability to recruit within NCAA and Ivy League rules. Strong organizational, creative writing, interpersonal, oral communication, and computer skills. Ability to write, draft, and edit correspondence for publications. Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment. Commitment to the student‑athlete, passion for wrestling, and ability to coach and motivate. Requirements The successful candidate must complete all required criminal background and DMV checks prior to employment. Employees in coaching positions receive annual NCAA recruiting rules education and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification.
