Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, ensuring accurate documentation from the first client contact through to therapy completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using standardized diagnostic tools and interviews.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans specific to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, adapting techniques to suit varying client needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress closely, adjusting treatment plans in response to clients' evolving needs and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including physicians and social workers, to create cohesive treatment strategies.
\n
• Provide timely follow-ups with external healthcare providers for clients requiring inpatient care.
\n
• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, proactively preventing setbacks in clients' progress.
\n
• Support families and caregivers by offering strategies to manage mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. Our clients vary in age, cultural background, and experience levels, requiring counselors to be adaptable and culturally competent. As a champion of mental health, you will play a significant role in empowering clients to find their paths to recovery and stability.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated clinical experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems like AVATAR to facilitate efficient case management.
\n
• Comprehension of addiction disorders and underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with clients and professionals.
\n
• Innate empathy and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Compensation and Benefits\n
