Vaco$USD 4200 - 48C2hConstruction Billing Specialist (Contracts)Location: Costa Mesa (Hybrid)Pay: $42-48/hrSchedule: Temp-to-hireWe are partnering with a growing company in the manufacturing space seeking a Contract Billing Specialist to manage project-based billing from start to finish. This role supports complex billing tied to contracts, production timelines, and customer requirements.Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle contract billing, including progress billing and invoicing tied to production milestonesReview contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure billing compliance, including lien waivers and retainage trackingPartner with project managers, customers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support timely billing and closeoutMaintain accurate billing records, support month-end close, and assist with reporting and forecastingUse ERP systems and customer billing portals to submit invoices and supporting documentationRequirements:4 years of experience in contract billing, manufacturing, or project-based environmentsStrong understanding of progress billing, retainage, and contract complianceExperience working with customer billing portals and ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesThis is not a standard AR role—ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with complex, contract-driven billing in manufacturing or a similar project-based environment.Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
