Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments by interviewing clients to gather comprehensive mental, behavioral, and emotional health histories.

• Document findings meticulously to track client progress throughout the treatment process.

• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans targeting the unique needs of each client, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.

• Lead individual therapy sessions and group therapy workshops that encourage open dialogue and healing.

• Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress and feedback, ensuring interventions remain effective and relevant.

• Work collaboratively with other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to develop and implement intervention strategies.

• Coordinate follow-ups with clients who may require additional support or hospitalization, ensuring they receive comprehensive care during critical periods.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse client population, consisting of individuals battling various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. You will provide empathetic support and evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's circumstances, aiming to enhance their overall mental well-being and facilitate recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong clinical insight and compassion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally within an outpatient setting.

• Understanding of the interplay between physical health, emotional health, and addiction disorders, with a commitment to comprehensive treatment approaches.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
