REGISTERED NURSE: University Hospital (Trauma Burn ICU)

Responsibilities The Trauma Burn Program is a Level 1 Trauma Center and verified Burn Center, certified by the American College of Surgeons. It has a 10 bed ICU and 6 bed acute care unit. Adult and pediatric patients are admitted to the burn center. Adult trauma patients are admitted who have sustained multiple trauma and non-trauma emergency illnesses. Nurses provide safe and effective nursing care to an assigned patient population. Have the ability to function as part of a health team and also work closely with patient families. Michigan Medicine's Trauma Burn ICU has received the Silver Beacon Award from AACN! Required Qualifications Current Michigan RN license. Current (at least one year) experience in an ICU or Emergency Department. Note: In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment. CCRN and/or ACLS certification. Possess excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. BSN preferred. Work Schedule Hours: 36 hours per week Shifts: Nights, 12 hr shifts, every other weekend All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
