Please Note: This is a full-time, in-office position located in South Barrington, Illinois . Remote and hybrid work are not available.

Position Summary

As a Logistics Account Manager, you'll coordinate shipments from pickup through delivery while building strong relationships with carrier partners and supporting our customers. You'll negotiate freight rates, secure transportation, monitor shipments, and work closely with our operations and customer service teams to ensure every load is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

 

This is a fast-paced position where no two days are the same. If you're organized, enjoy multitasking, and like building relationships, you'll thrive in this role.

 

What You'll Do

• Communicate with trucking companies by phone and email regarding available freight opportunities
• Negotiate competitive freight rates and secure qualified carriers for shipments
• Coordinate shipments from dispatch through delivery
• Coordinate dispatch activities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Monitor active shipments and quickly resolve transportation issues
• Source and develop relationships with new carrier partners
• Maintain accurate carrier profiles, pricing, and contact information
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners across North America
• Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and other internal departments to ensure exceptional service
• Proactively communicate shipment updates and resolve service issues while delivering exceptional customer service
• Assist with additional operational and administrative duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, dispatch, sales, or account management is helpful—but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent

 

No logistics experience? No problem. Many of our successful team members started without industry experience. Compensation & Benefits

• $45,000-$60,000 annual salary , based on experience
