Work Environment As a Mental Health Counselor at Brilliant Mind Psychological Services, you will primarily work from the comfort of your home in a fully remote setting, with the flexibility that modern healthcare demands. Our outpatient office is equipped with the latest technology to support telehealth services, allowing you to connect with clients from various locations and ensure access to mental health resources. Regular team meetings and collaborative case reviews will provide a strong sense of community and support, even from a distance. Key Responsibilities Your daily responsibilities will encompass a range of important clinical tasks, including: Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and determining their therapeutic needs. Developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and the clients' specific challenges. Implementing therapeutic interventions tailored for a diverse population, including techniques for managing anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more. Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to share experiences and learn coping strategies. Regularly reviewing and updating therapy plans to reflect clients' progress and changing needs. Providing referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, when medication or additional support services are needed. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions within our electronic health record (EHR) system. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a diverse group of clients, including those battling substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. You will utilize your clinical expertise to foster resilience and provide culturally responsive care, tailoring your approach to fit the needs of each individual. Your work will include not only one-on-one sessions but also facilitation of group therapy where clients can connect with others facing similar challenges, promoting support and community. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and valid state license as LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will also have: A deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidenced-based treatment methodologies. Experience providing culturally competent therapy to a diverse clientele. Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle complex situations with calm professionalism. Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients from varied backgrounds. A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining boundaries, and ensuring client confidentiality. Compensation and Benefits At Brilliant Mind Psychological Services, we offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
