Regional Sales Manager - Municipal Wastewater

Job Description

Our client provides wastewater asset management solutions, using clear and concise data to guide asset managers in critical infrastructure decisions. They understand the cost of infrastructure failures and help leaders in the processes that protect their communities with the most efficient and economical solutions. They are in need of a Regional Sales Manager for Municipal Wastewater Treatment that will oversee wastewater inspection sales and services across the Central US region to the public sector marketplace. (MS, KS, IA, WI, MN, IL, NE)

The RSM will focus on key accounts based on population density, customer type and geographic location. This position focuses on multi-level, complex sales to the municipalities, engineering firms, contractors, and industry associations to obtain and manage business.

\n

The Regional Sales Manager will work with existing personal relationships among the municipalities to position their services for long-term contracts, focusing on their unique value proposition and specialized technical specifications. Other responsibilities include account planning, forecasting, goal setting (KPI’s), representing them in local industry/trade associations, attending conferences, and being actively involved in the industry and local community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set and track sales quotas.
\n
• Work with project management to schedule and manage sales accounts.
\n
• Provide forecasting and budget information according to projected sales.
\n
• Develop presentations and other sales materials, as needed.
\n
• Understanding and communication of specifications of products and services.
\n
• Provide weekly sales updates (maintain and update CRM).
\n
• Generate quality sales leads.
\n
• Create positive customer experiences.
\n
• Travel throughout assigned territory.
\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field.
\n
• 5 or more years of experience, wastewater industry experience preferred.
\n
• 2 or more years of regional sales manager experience with experience managing both direct and indirect sales force.
\n
• Experience selling to the public sector and understanding of specification process.
\n
• Strong communication skills.
\n
• Ability to communicate technical and business concepts to all levels of an organization, as well as internally with staff.
\n
• Highly-resourceful with an ability to work independently or in a team situation.
\n
• Self-starter, fast learner, action-oriented, results-driven.
\n
• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
\n
• Ability to travel 50%+ of the time the first year.
\n

Compensation for this position includes base salary ranging from $75k-$110k plus commissions, with anticipated annual earnings being $150k++ with tremendous upside earnings potential, plus benefits.
