The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating multiple multifamily construction projects while ensuring project information, schedules, customer requirements, and internal activities remain organized and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. This role serves as a key point of communication between customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams, proactively resolving issues and helping ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.

In addition to independently managing complex project coordination responsibilities, the Senior Project Coordinator serves as a resource and mentor to other Project Coordinators by sharing best practices, providing guidance, and supporting team development. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, adaptable, and skilled at interpreting construction documents while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate multiple multifamily construction projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and accuracy

• Manage project schedules, priorities, deadlines, documentation, and customer requirements

• Track project milestones and proactively identify issues that could affect schedules, materials, or customer commitments

• Coordinate project activities across customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal departments

• Maintain accurate and current project information throughout the project lifecycle

• Prioritize competing project needs and adjust quickly as schedules, customer requirements, and operational priorities change

• Follow up on outstanding project items to ensure timely resolution

• Support successful project execution from initial coordination through completion

Construction Documents and Technical Coordination

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, construction documents, specifications, and project requirements

• Review project information for completeness and identify potential discrepancies or missing information

• Communicate drawing revisions, project changes, and updated requirements to appropriate stakeholders

• Assist with resolving questions related to project plans, specifications, materials, and field requirements

• Maintain organized project files and documentation

• Ensure teams have access to accurate and current project information

Customer and Partner Communication

• Deliver exceptional service to customers throughout the project lifecycle

• Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive point of contact for project-related questions and coordination needs

• Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams

• Proactively communicate project status, schedule changes, outstanding requirements, and potential concerns

• Resolve customer and project issues with urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment

• Build strong working relationships that support customer satisfaction and successful project execution

• Manage customer expectations while balancing project and operational requirements

Problem Solving and Project Support

• Anticipate project challenges and proactively identify practical solutions

• Exercise sound judgment when addressing customer, scheduling, documentation, or operational concerns

• Coordinate resolution of issues that could affect project timelines or customer commitments

• Escalate significant project risks or concerns to leadership when appropriate

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned projects and responsibilities

Team Leadership and Mentorship

• Serve as a senior resource for Project Coordinators and other team members

• Provide guidance and support to less-experienced Project Coordinators

• Assist with training team members on project processes, systems, customer expectations, and best practices

• Share knowledge and lessons learned to strengthen overall team performance

• Help team members develop stronger organization, communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills

• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, humility, urgency, and customer focus

• Support a collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to learn and develop

• Assist leadership with process consistency and continuous improvement initiatives

Organization and Continuous Improvement

• Maintain organized project records, communications, schedules, and supporting documentation

• Identify opportunities to improve project coordination processes, communication, and workflow

• Support development and implementation of standardized project practices

• Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing significant volumes of project information

• Participate in meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

• Proven success in a Project Coordinator or comparable construction project coordination role

• Strong knowledge of project coordination processes and construction operations

• Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction documents

• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Demonstrated experience successfully coordinating construction or building-material projects

• Advanced blueprint and construction-document interpretation skills

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn project management and business systems

• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator within multifamily construction preferred

• Experience supporting multifamily residential construction projects

• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects and customer accounts

• Previous experience mentoring, training, or providing guidance to other Project Coordinators

• Knowledge of building materials, construction processes, and field operations

• Experience using construction project management, ERP, or related business systems

Work Environment and Requirements

• Work is performed primarily in an office environment

• Extensive computer, telephone, documentation, and project coordination work throughout the workday

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

• Frequent communication with customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Occasional visits to operational facilities or construction jobsites may be required based on project needs

• Required PPE must be worn when entering designated operational or construction areas
