The Role

\n

You are the translation layer between a client's business ambition and what we build. You'll run discovery and elaboration with client stakeholders; you'll pressure-test what they say they want against what the FSC data model and Sales/Service Cloud can elegantly do; and you'll produce the requirements artifacts our architects and developers can build from without guessing.

\n

This is a consulting BA role, not an internal-IT BA role. You will be client-facing, you will facilitate rooms with senior stakeholders, and you will be expected to have a point of view.

What You'll Do

\n

Discovery & requirements

\n

\n
• Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process-mapping sessions across front, middle, and back office financial services functions.
\n
• Elicit, document, and rationalize business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that meet a definition of ready our engineers respect.
\n
• Produce current-state ("as-is") and future-state ("to-be") process flows, capability maps, and gap analyses.
\n
• Run fit-gap analysis against out-of-the-box FSC, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud capability — and defend "configure, don't customize" when it's the right call.
\n

Solution shaping

\n

\n
• Partner with Technical Leads and Architects to translate business needs into solution options, with trade-offs articulated in business language.
\n
• Contribute to the FSC data model design conversations: Person Accounts vs. the Individual model, Households and Relationship Groups, Financial Accounts and Financial Holdings, Relationship Mapping and the Actionable Relationship Center (ARC).
\n
• Define and document business process automation using Flow, Action Plans, Business Rules Engine, Record Alerts, and Discovery Framework.
\n
• Shape Sales Cloud (lead-to-opportunity, referral management, pipeline, forecasting, territory) and Service Cloud (case management, omni-channel routing, knowledge, CTI, service console, entitlements/SLAs) process design.
\n

Delivery

\n

\n
• Own and groom the product backlog; drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint demos, and UAT alongside the client product owner.
\n
• Write and execute test scenarios and test scripts; coordinate UAT, triage defects, and manage the path to sign-off.
\n
• Produce and maintain functional specs, data dictionaries, business process documentation, and training/enablement material.
\n
• Support data migration workstreams: source-to-target field mapping, data quality rules, reconciliation criteria.
\n
• Define reporting and analytics requirements — dashboards, KPIs, CRM Analytics for financial services.
\n

Client leadership

\n

\n
• Manage stakeholder expectations, surface risks early, and drive decisions to closure rather than waiting for them.
\n
• Facilitate steering committee and program readouts with clarity and confidence.
\n
• Support change management, adoption planning, and end-user enablement.
\n
• Mentor junior BAs and contribute reusable accelerators, templates, and playbooks back to the Cloud Peritus practice.

What You Bring (Required)

\n

\n
• Minimum 8 years of business analysis experience, with a meaningful portion in Salesforce ecosystem delivery.
\n
• Hands-on Financial Services Cloud (FSC) experience — you have delivered on FSC, not just read about it. You can speak to the FSC data model, householding, financial accounts, and relationship management from real projects.
\n
• Strong Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functional depth across full lifecycle implementations.
\n
• Prior consulting experience strongly preferred — you've worked for a partner/SI or advisory firm and understand billable delivery, scope discipline, and client management.
\n
• Demonstrated experience across at least 2–3 end-to-end Salesforce implementations from discovery through hypercare.
\n
• Fluency in Agile/Scrum delivery and tooling — Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
\n
• Strong process modeling skills (BPMN, swimlanes, journey maps) with Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, or similar.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; you can write a crisp user story and run a room of MDs.
\n
• Domain fluency in one or more of: retail/commercial banking, wealth & asset management, insurance, mortgage & residential lending, private equity/investment banking.

Nice to Have

• Salesforce certifications: Certified Business Analyst, Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional.
\n
• Experience with Salesforce Industries / OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors).
\n
• Exposure to Data Cloud, Agentforce, or Einstein capabilities in a financial services context.
\n
• Familiarity with regulatory context — KYC/AML, FINRA/SEC, GLBA, SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA — and how it constrains design.
\n
• Experience integrating with core banking, custodial, mortgage (e.g., ICE/Encompass)or lending platforms, Insurance (e.g., Guidewire).
\n
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or CSPO certification.
\n

First 90 Days — What Good Looks Like

\n

\n
• Day 30: Fully onboarded to your client program; you've mapped the stakeholder landscape and can articulate the business objectives behind every active epic.
\n
• Day 60: You own a backlog. Your stories go into sprint without rework, and your process documentation is what the client screenshares in their own internal meetings.
\n
• Day 90: You're the client's trusted advisor on the functional side, you've identified at least one improvement opportunity nobody asked you for, and you've contributed one reusable asset to the CoE.
