Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for remote work, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to a collaborative team of professionals. Scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, you may occasionally adjust hours to meet client needs. Our virtual structure ensures that you can effectively engage with patients while receiving robust support from colleagues and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' unique experiences and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, utilizing methods that respect and incorporate the cultural backgrounds of individual patients.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on addressing mental health challenges and promoting resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to create comprehensive care pathways for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques to assure client safety.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions that comply with legal and ethical standards while safeguarding confidentiality.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions centered on cultural competence and best practices in therapy.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and treatment approaches in mental health, continually enhancing your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals from various backgrounds, with particular attention to serving ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and those navigating the immigrant experience. This role is critical in ensuring that our mental health services are not only accessible but also relevant and responsive to the unique challenges faced by these populations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, along with experience in culturally responsive therapeutic practices.

• Demonstration of strong crisis intervention skills with the capacity to handle high-pressure situations with tact and composure.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain client information and treatment records effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering solid relationships with clients and their families to promote trust and engagement.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Experience working with diverse populations, specifically in issues related to acculturation and identity.

• Background in implementing trauma-informed care practices is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy techniques to maximize client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
